How We Work

Window replacement arranged from first call to finished fit

We take the enquiry, arrange the survey, and make sure you have a written quote before anything is ordered.

Draughty frames, condensation sitting between the panes, rattling sashes, or heating bills that keep climbing, these are the signs that your windows need attention. We connect you with vetted independent local tradespeople who can assess the situation properly, on site, before any decision is made.

When you contact us, we pass your enquiry to a local installer in Havering. The installer visits the property, records the frame condition, glazing type, and hardware, and works out whether a pocket insert or a full-frame replacement is the right approach. Nothing is guessed from a photo or a description.

You receive an itemised written quote that sets out materials, labour, and removal of the old frames as separate line items. If repair is a sensible option, that is included too, so you can compare both routes before committing. Nothing is ordered until you have reviewed the quote and agreed the scope.

Once you accept, the installation is scheduled to keep time on site short and limit disruption to the room. Our role throughout is to make sure the right installer is arranged, the survey happens promptly, and the quote reaches you in a form you can actually read and act on.

Our Mission

We exist to make window replacement straightforward for Havering homeowners by arranging a local installer who surveys, quotes, and fits without surprises.

  1. Transparency

Every quote is itemised in writing before any work or ordering begins.

  2. Accuracy

Frames and glazing are measured on site, not estimated from photos or descriptions.

  3. Clarity

Repair and replacement options are both set out so you can choose with full information.

  4. Efficiency

Work is scheduled to keep time on site short and limit disruption to the property.

Questions

Common questions about how we work

  • Do you fit windows yourselves?

No. We arrange a local installer to carry out the survey, quote, and fitting. The installer is independent and works directly in Havering. Our role is to take your enquiry, match you with the right person, and make sure the process runs without gaps.

  • Is there a charge for the survey or the quote?

There is no charge for the on-site survey or the written quote. The installer visits, records what is needed, and returns an itemised price. You only proceed if the quote suits you.

  • How does the installer decide between a pocket insert and a full-frame replacement?

The installer checks the existing frame on site. If the frame is structurally sound, a pocket insert, fitting a new double-glazed unit into the existing frame, may be enough. If the frame is rotten, warped, or poorly sealed, a full-frame replacement is set out as the better option.

  • What does the itemised quote include?

The quote lists glass, frames, labour, and removal of the old frames as separate line items. If making good around the frame is needed, that is included too. Nothing is bundled into a single figure that is hard to check.

  • What happens if I delay replacing misted or draughty windows?

A failed seal lets moisture into the unit, and that condensation will not clear. Over time the frame around it can soften or rot, turning a straightforward unit swap into a full-frame replacement. Draughts also raise heating costs every month the window stays unrepaired.
