Window Replacement Questions

Every question we get asked about window replacement, answered straight.

Questions

How It Works

  • How do I know if I need a full replacement or just a repair?

If the frame is rotten, warped, or failing at the corners, full removal is usually the right call. If the frame is still sound and only the sealed unit has misted, a unit swap may be enough. The on-site survey makes that call before anything is quoted or ordered.

  • Is uPVC always the cheapest option?

uPVC is generally the lower-cost material, but the final price depends on window size, style, and how many are being replaced. Timber and aluminium typically cost more, particularly for larger or non-standard openings in older properties.

  • Will the installer be able to match non-standard frame sizes in older homes?

Yes. Many terraced and semi-detached properties in Havering have openings that do not match standard unit sizes. The installer measures each opening on site and orders made-to-size frames where needed.
